Role Overview

Reporting to Plant Head Purchase Executive with hands-on experience in procurement for a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in steel/raw material purchasing, vendor coordination, commercial negotiations, purchase planning, and ERP-based procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Independently handle day-to-day purchase and procurement activities
- Source and procure steel, sheet metal, hardware, fabrication consumables, and other production materials
- Develop, manage, and evaluate vendor relationships
- Obtain quotations, compare commercial terms, and negotiate best pricing
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely material deliveries
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Planning, and Accounts teams
- Monitor inventory/material requirements aligned with production schedules
- Track steel market trends, pricing fluctuations, and procurement costs
- Ensure quality, quantity, and timely availability of purchased materials
- Maintain procurement records, vendor data, and MIS reports




- Support cost optimization and efficient purchasing practices

Desired Candidate Profile:
- 3 - 5 years of relevant purchase experience in sheet metal / steel furniture / fabrication manufacturing
- Strong understanding of steel procurement, raw material sourcing, and vendor management
- Good negotiation and commercial acumen
- Experience in ERP-based purchase processes (Business Central / Navision preferred)
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong coordination, communication, and follow-up skills
- Energetic, responsible, and result-driven professional
