Job Summary
The Purchase Associate is responsible for assisting in the procurement process, ensuring that our organization maintains a steady supply of quality goods and services necessary for operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating purchase orders, and other relevant documents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers to track order status, resolve any discrepancies, and address potential issues.
- Maintain accurate databases and up-to-date records of invoices, purchase orders, Stock levels and other paperwork.
- Collaborate with internal departments to determine purchasing needs and specifications and ensure the purchase is done at the right time and delivered to the client department /Institution.
- Procurement & Purchasing:
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers and vendors and managing inventory levels and coordinating with suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Identifying cost-effective sources of goods and services and developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
- Ensuring quality of procured items and addressing problems.
- Vendor Management:
- identifying and building contacts of vendors of various items.
- Evaluating vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price by doing vendor analysis
- Record Keeping & Analysis:
- Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other key data.
- Analyzing purchase data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Leading and managing a team of suppliers and buyers.
- Coordinating with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Bcom, business administration, materials management.
- Minimum
