Job Title: Cost Accountant
In this role, you will be responsible for analysing and reporting on manufacturing costs, including materials, labour, and overhead. Your primary goal will be to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall efficiency in our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and report on manufacturing costs, including materials, labour, and overhead.
- Maintain standard cost systems and update them as necessary.
- Prepare cost variance analyses and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of cost data.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance,
or a related field.
- 2-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and standard cost systems.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large sets of data.
