Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems.
- Read the reports on incomplete/pending jobs from the previous shift on issues such as major/minor breakdowns, emergencies on calibration/repair/troubleshooting from
- Production, QC, R&D; &/or Maintenance departments and attend to them on a priority basis
- Make rounds of the plant and conduct routine/preventive maintenance of all the instruments
- Install any new instrument for current project(s) as per the project requirements and handle its fabrication & fittings
- Program and change settings such as trip setting, alarm setting et al of instruments as per requirements of the concerned department
- Prepare a list of all spare parts relating to their present quantity/number & additional requirements & forward the same.
- Assistant Manager Instrumentation for procurement
- Conduct routine tests on all automation systems
- Provide adequate supplementary instrument(s) in case of unavailability of spares leading to delays in repairs
Required Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and intrinsically safe equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Safety-conscious and familiar with oil and gas industry safety protocols (e.g., Permit to Work systems, Lockout/Tagout).
