Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain COBOL programs for business-critical applications.
- Work with existing legacy systems to enhance functionality and resolve issues.
- Write detailed technical specifications and documentation for developed solutions.
- Perform system analysis and troubleshooting of COBOL-based applications.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization for COBOL programs to ensure productive execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and integrate COBOL programs with other systems.
- Support system testing and debugging, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Provide support for system migrations or upgrades, particularly in converting COBOL applications to newer technologies.
- Monitor system performance and resolve production issues related to COBOL applications.
