Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Interior Integration
Domain: Mechanical Integration – Interiors & Cab
Role Purpose
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead and deliver Interior & Cab mechanical integration activities for rolling stock projects.
The role covers requirements management, detailed design, digital mock‑up, interface control, and production support, ensuring compliance with QCD commitments, customer requirements, and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Integration & Design
- Lead mechanical integration of interior and cab systems at train and sub‑system level
- Define and manage mechanical requirements,
interfaces, and allocated volumes
- Develop 3D/2D installation designs, integration drawings, and space allocation models
- Perform interface dimensioning and FEA‑based justification when required
- Ensure design conformity for carry‑over solutions from existing platforms
Digital Mock‑Up & CAD
- Own and manage Digital Mock‑Up (DMU) for assigned interior zones
- Ensure no‑clash, interface compliance, weight control, and volume respect
- Populate and maintain part attributes (material, Fire & Smoke, weight, naming, etc.)
- Review and validate CAD deliverables from internal teams and suppliers
Project Execution & QCD
- Plan and pilot Mechanical Domain activities for assigned scope
- Secure on‑time, right‑first‑time delivery of engineering deliverables
- Prepare and lead Domain Design Reviews, closing actions as per schedule
- Report progress, risks, and deviations impacting Quality, Cos
