Description
Syntiant Corp., is a leader in the high-growth AI software and semiconductor solutions space. We are seeking a lead Digital Design Engineer who will be designing the digital systems and building blocks for MEMS microphones. Together with the analog/mixed-signal designers, test development engineers and other team members, you will be developing high-performance, low-power ASICs from concept to high-volume production.

Requirements
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop the digital architecture including audio signal path (DSP) and analog-digital interface with the project team.
- Build complex functional and behavioral models of the systems using Matlab/Simulink, Verilog-AMS, etc.
- Perform RTL design, synthesis, timing closure, scan pattern generation, power optimization and supervise the RTL-to-GDS flow.
- Define the digital verification plan.
- Verify the digital system and blocks in collaboration with the digital verification engineer.
- Develop low-power audio signal processing architectures.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience Required:




- Advanced Degree in electronic engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of proven track record in developing digital blocks/systems for high-performance mixed-signal integrated circuits in a consumer or industrial R&D; setting.
- Good understanding of the entire digital design flow and DFT.
- Experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) implementations
- Hands-on experience in designing low-power digital circuits.
- Good understanding of most common concepts and metrics used in analog/mixed signal design (Sampling, Quantization, FFT, SNR, THD, etc.)
- Experience with sigma delta ADCs or audio signal processing.
- Understanding of the most common limitations and issues of analog circuits (offset, gain error, distortion, etc.) is an advantage.
- Knowledge in EDA tools such as Cadence Digital EDA suite (Genus, Tempus, Jasper, Voltus, Modus, Conformal etc.) is an advantage.
