Job Purpose
The Cluster Manager - Risk Analytics is responsible for developing, validating, monitoring, and governing credit risk models and underwriting strategies across unsecured lending portfolios. The role drives data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics, scorecards, and risk frameworks, while ensuring compliance with regulatory, audit, and model governance standards. The individual collaborates closely with Risk, Business, Data Engineering, Technology, and Deployment teams to deliver scalable and impactful risk solutions.Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Risk Analytics & Model Development
• Develop and enhance credit risk scorecards, underwriting models, and analytical frameworks for retail lending products.
• Build predictive models using bureau, banking, alternate data, and customer behavioral datasets.
• Perform feature engineering, variable selection, model training, validation, and segmentation analysis.
• Evaluate model performance using metrics such as Gini, KS, Lift, PSI, CSI, Precision, and Recall.




• Design risk segmentation and decision strategies to optimize approval rates, portfolio quality, and business growth.
• Conduct portfolio performance reviews and recommend policy enhancements based on emerging trends.
• Support implementation of underwriting cut-offs and risk-based customer prioritization frameworks.
Model Monitoring & Governance
• Prepare model development documents, SOPs, validation packs, and governance artefacts.
• Own ongoing model performance monitoring and stability assessment.
• Publish periodic monitoring reports and identify early warning indicators for model deterioration.
• Conduct root cause analysis for model breaches and recommend corrective actions including recalibration or redevelopment.
• Ensure adherence to Model Risk Management (MRM) and governance standards.
• Support internal audits, model validation exercises, and regulatory reviews.
