Job Summary

The Principal Engineer, Electrical Systems Engineering is responsible for the design and development of 1-phase power products. This role requires solid technical knowledge, as well as excellent coaching skills to guide and mentor team members. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, experience with 1 phase power, systems engineering background, an understanding of printed circuit board design and development.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of advanced power electronics circuits, including converters, inverters, and power supplies.
- Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to optimize designs, ensuring efficiency, performance, and reliability.
- Define system architectures for power conversion and energy management systems, including power distribution, protection, and control strategies.
- Ensure seamless integration of power electronics with other subsystems (e.g., mechanical, thermal, and control systems)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical,



systems engineering) to define system-level requirements and resolve any integration issues.
- Utilize simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, LTspice) for circuit design, system modeling, and performance analysis.
- Conduct rigorous testing, troubleshooting, and fault analysis to ensure high reliability and performance under operational conditions.
- Establish test plans, procedures, and protocols for functional, environmental, and regulatory compliance testing.
- Provide technical leadership to junior engineers and interdisciplinary teams, offering guidance on best practices, design principles, and troubleshooting.
- Review designs and provide constructive feedback to ensure quality, innovation, and adherence to engineering standards.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle of power electronics systems, from concept through design, validation, production, and maintenance.
