AGCO is looking to hire candidates for the position of Product Cost Engineer

Responsible for should costing of components using aPriori software (Sheet metal, Metal Fabrication, Machining, Painting processes)

Your Impact

Perform should-cost modelling to estimate product costs and identify potential design modifications for cost reduction.

Develop should-costing models and manufacturing process maps for key commodities including Sheet metal, Metal Fabrication, Machining, Painting and wire harness.

Demonstrate solid understanding of the relationship between manufacturing processes/operations, geometric features, cycle time, and cost impact.

Collaborate closely with engineering team sharing key takeaways from cost modelling and analysis work to inform design decisions from component level through full assembly techniques

Maintain good awareness of current market rates for materials and manufacturing processes & equipment/machines.

Your Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 6+years of work experience in Automotive/ Off-Highway/ Construction/ Agriculture industry or with a Supplier providing commodities to these industries (Sheet metal, Metal Fabrication, Machining, Painting and wire harness)
- 4+ years of experience in aPriori, Creo and windchill tools.
- Should costing and process mapping expertise in commodities Sheet metal, Metal Fabrication, Machining, Painting, Wire harness etc
