About the Role
- We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Database Engineer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL development including PL/Sql, PostgreSQL, and Python scripting to support data-intensive applications. This role requires designing and optimizing databases, building data pipelines, and studying the customer data models to map/ingest into current products hosted on AWS cloud.
- Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize PostgreSQL databases for scalability, security, and performance.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, procedures, views, and triggers to support application requirements.
- Write Python or sql scripts for database automation, ETL processes, and data validation.




- Collaborate with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to define database strategies and data models.
- Lead Source system data model study activities, including mapping, transformation, and validation of legacy data to new portals/products.
- Ensure high availability, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for database environments.
- Monitor and tune performance using database metrics, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards in handling sensitive data.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience as a Database Engineer/Administrator/Developer.
- Strong knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) with proven ability to optimize queries and schema design.
- Hands-on experience with Python
