A well-reputed conglomerate is looking to hire a Senior Litigation Lawyer (Mining Litigation) with 13-15 years of experience for their Mumbai office. The ideal candidate will lead high-stakes matters involving mining laws, regulatory enforcement, environmental compliance, land acquisition, commercial disputes, and industry-specific statutory challenges. This role requires strong command over mining legislation, strategic litigation skills, and the ability to interface with senior stakeholders, government authorities, and industry regulators.

Key Requirement:
- Lead and manage end-to-end litigation under the Mines Act, MMDR Act, Forest (Conservation) Act, Environment Protection Act, and related statutes, including disputes involving mining leases, EC/FC approvals, regulatory permissions, statutory violations, land acquisition, labour issues, commercial contracts, and enforcement matters.
- Represent clients before judicial and quasi-judicial forums such as the Supreme Court, High Courts, NGT, Mining Tribunals, Sessions Courts, and various regulatory authorities,



including drafting and vetting writs, suits, appeals, applications, replies, affidavits, and legal opinions.
- Advise on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation for mining operations by formulating strategies related to environmental and forest clearances, statutory permissions, and exposure under allied environmental and mining laws, while liaising with government departments, regulators, and external stakeholders.
- Drive case strategy and cross-functional coordination by managing internal teams, engaging with technical experts (geologists, environmental consultants), overseeing documentation and research, and tracking evolving mining, environmental, and regulatory jurisprudence.
