Procurement Engineer

Profile Required
- Past experience of working as a Procurement Engineer, responsible for procuring complex engineered equipment and material for projects
- Perform critical project supplier negotiations
- Handling commercial communication with clients / suppliers
- Handling commercial issues related to purchasing, logistics (including import requirements and clearances), inspection, warranty, back charge, etc.
- Thorough knowledge of commercial terms and experience of purchasing from Indian/ Global suppliers.
- Preparation of procurement plan, management of procurement work processes, development of procurement activities on projects.
- Preparing and developing vendor database and qualification of vendor
- Prepare complete set of documents pertaining to export/import shipping documentation
- Get all required documents attested from the relevant authorities/ministries/chamber of commerce.
- Maintain a direct relationship with the Bank pertaining to all export/import procedures and documentation.




- Coordinate closely with the logistics/shipping Company/agents for scheduling and bookings shipments to ensure smooth and timely cargo delivery.
- Coordinate and liaise with suppliers and buyers to ensure smooth cargo operations.
- Prepare freight invoices and receipt vouchers for freight received.
- Track electronically the status of all the shipments and preparing a report of the same.
- Prepare and submit statistical reports to the management.
- Maintain period wise database for tariffs.
- Handle other trading duties.

Basic Job Requirements:-Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 3-5 years experience in Procurement of Engineered Equipments and project Material preferably in the Energy & Chemicals or Power sector
