Description
- The Performance Architect is responsible for the overall performance strategy, design, and optimization of our software systems.
- This role involves working closely with development, operations, and product teams to define performance requirements, architect scalable solutions, and ensure that our applications deliver a rapid and seamless experience to end-users.
- The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in performance engineering, system architecture, and a passion for building highly efficient and responsive systems.

Responsibilities
- Champion the performance architecture strategy for new and existing applications.
- Design and system architectures, identifying potential performance bottlenecks and providing recommendations for scalable and efficient designs.
- Establish performance baselines, Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and performance budgets.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of performance testing and monitoring tools.
- Lead and conduct various types of performance testing, including load, stress, scalability, and endurance tests.




- Analyze test results, identify root causes of performance issues, and provide detailed recommendations for optimization.
- Work with development teams to profile code, optimize algorithms, and improve database queries.
- Collaborate with application architects, developers, and product managers to embed performance considerations into the early stages of the design and development process.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams on performance best practices, tuning techniques, and capacity planning.
- Communicate performance metrics, risks, and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Design and implement comprehensive performance monitoring and observability solutions.
- Proactively monitor production environments to detect and diagnose performance degradation.
- Lead efforts to tune and optimize system configurations, infrastructure and application code for maximum performance.
