Purpose

The Power Markets team at CEEW informs and shapes the evolution of power markets in India, including assessing the existing and emerging challenges in integrating renewable energy (RE) with the grid, and ensuring effective and financially healthy discoms. We are looking for a consultant to join our dynamic team and contribute to advancing the ongoing research and implementation efforts at the state-level. The role will include conducting robust modelling exercises for simulating state-level electricity demand, generation and transmission systems to identify strategies for accelerated RE integration in inter-connected grids.

The candidate must have strong demonstrable experience in power system modelling with a good understanding and ability to apply real-world scenarios. The candidate must also be informed about the evolving technologies and cutting-edge research supporting cost-effective integration of
