Description
- The Head - Business Automation is a leadership role, responsible for driving the Bank’s Hyper automation strategy by implementing scalable automation solutions across infrastructure, applications and business processes.
- This role focuses on leveraging Automation platforms, RPA, orchestration tools, and generative AI to reduce manual effort, improve operational efficiency and enhance service delivery.
- The position fulfills larger Organization goals via Portfolio, Program, Operations and platform Management.
- Plays a key role in aligning automation initiatives with business goals, regulatory standards and innovation roadmaps.

Responsibilities

Managerial Responsibilities:
- Plan and and manage the automation program to deliver scalable automation solutions aligned to business strategy.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility and continuous improvement across automation initiatives.
- Evaluate solutions and build business cases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external) to prioritize automation opportunities and ensure governance.




- Manage vendor relationships and ensure delivery quality across automation platforms and tools.
- Review architecture and ensure alignment to the regulatory and statutory obligations.

Functional Responsibilities:
- Strategize, plan and implement automation solutions using RPA platforms, orchestrators and generative AI to streamline IT and business processes.
- Identify high-impact use cases by collaborating with business and technology teams and define scalable automation architectures.
- Integrate automation workflows with enterprise systems using APIs, event-driven models, and orchestration frameworks.
- Establish governance for automation lifecycle, including exception handling, version control and audit readiness.
- Monitor automation performance, ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., RBI) and drive continuous improvement.
