Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement HMI applications for Infotainment systems of automotive domain controllers on Android (AAOS) platforms.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to bring wireframes and visual concepts to life using tools like Android Studio, Kanzi, and Unreal Engine.
- Added advantage if experienced with System UI development experience.
- Integrate HMI layers with middleware/Android Automotive framework.
- Optimize 3D graphics, animations, and overall performance of the HMI for smooth rendering and responsiveness for embedded systems with real-time constraints
- Conduct debugging, unit testing, and validation of HMI features across various hardware platforms and scenarios.
- Create transparent and concise documentation for design, architecture, and workflows.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including system architects, platform developers, and QA engineers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3–5.5 years of experience in HMI development for automotive systems.
- Proficiency in Android Studio, Java/Kotlin.
- Strong experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
- Strong knowledge of Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with UI/UX tools such as Qt, Kanzi, and Unreal Engine.
- Understanding of embedded systems, real-time OS and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, and Agile development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AOSP customization and Android HAL development.
- Exposure to graphics rendering techniques, animations, 3D graphics principles and GPU optimization.
- Familiarity with SoCs from Qualcomm, Renesas, or NXP.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434).
