Job Purpose: The Site Safety Officer (FMCC) is tasked with ensuring the implementation of safety norms and regulatory compliance as per DGMS guidelines, with a focus on achieving zero NCs during safety audits and reducing unsafe incidents. They are responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, conducting safety rounds, and providing comprehensive safety orientation to staff. Additionally, they oversee safety training programs, emergency planning,
and safety review meetings to promote a culture of safety and ensure legal compliance within the mining operation.
Responsibilities
Site Safety Officer - Mining
Safety Compliance Management:
Monitor and enforce the implementation of safety norms in accordance with DGMS regulations to ensure protected mining operations, with a focus on mitigating risks associated with coal dust, electrical hazards, fire, and other specific safety concerns.
Track and address concerns raised during safety audits by DGMS, striving for zero non-conformities and continuous improvement in safety standards.
Maintain meticulous records and documentation to ensure zero instances of non-compliance with DGMS guidelines and statutory requirements, conducting regular safety review meetings to assess and address any deviations.
