Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of electrical and electro-mechanical systems for Well Completion Products (WCP). This senior technical leadership role is responsible for driving innovation, developing robust electrical architectures, and ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, safety, and performance. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and design through qualification, manufacturing, and deployment.
This position offers an excellent chance to lead advanced engineering initiatives in the Oil & Gas industry while working on next-generation downhole technologies, mentoring engineering teams, and collaborating with global cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and qualification of electrical and electro-mechanical systems for Well Completion Products.
- Develop electrical architectures, circuit designs,



power management systems, sensor integration, and communication interfaces for downhole and surface equipment.
- Interpret customer specifications, engineering requirements, and applicable API, ISO, IEC, and IEEE standards.
- Drive innovation by developing advanced electrical solutions for high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT), EMI, vibration, and harsh downhole environments.
- Lead project planning, electrical design, prototyping, testing, qualification, and production release activities.
- Conduct feasibility studies, electrical risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for new technologies and product enhancements.
- Utilize schematic capture, PCB design, simulation, and engineering analysis tools to develop and validate designs.
- Identify electrical failure modes and implement robust design improvements based on testing and field performance.
