The Team: The Data Automation & Insights (Data A&I;) team at PitchBook (a Morningstar company) harnesses advanced data analytics and engineering techniques to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency across the company.
The Role: The Associate Project Manager for Data A&I; will manage projects that enhance our analytical capabilities and develop robust data infrastructure. This role requires a blend of strong project management skills and a solid understanding of BI and data engineering technologies to oversee the creation and enhancement of data sources, reporting solutions, and data-driven projects.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the management and execution of projects within the Business Intelligence and Data Engineering domains, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and Agile methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data scientists, and business analysts, to deliver creative solutions that enhance data processing and reporting capabilities.
- Lead Agile ceremonies for projects,
driving effective sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews to ensure timely delivery of initiatives.
- Empower the team by mentoring on best practices in Agile, project management, and data engineering, while also fostering a learning and collaborative culture within the team.
- Utilize project management tools such as JIRA and Asana to track project progress, manage tasks, and facilitate communication among project stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to ensure transparency and alignment on project goals, progress, and outcomes.
- Drive the adoption and optimization of BI and data engineering tools and methodologies, providing training and support to enhance team capabilities.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation and manage stakeholder communications to keep all parties informed about project status and decisions.
