Job Description
- Build and manage technology team and oversee solution architecture and development
- Define, develop and maintain the application architecture for specific business functional areas
- Work with engineering teams to design the components/objects/data structure of various applications
- Analyze and estimate feasibility, costs, time and compatibility with hardware and other programs
- Write documentation to describe software infrastructure and maintain changes and corrections
- Take up project and design reviews to evaluate that the design being applied meets requirements, principles and standards
- Ensure that all components of the technical architecture are properly integrated and implemented
- Define development tools and environment
- Provide technical mentorship/leadership to the engineering team
Desired Skills
- Should have worked on at least 1 SAAS product as a Technical Architect or be involved in a large scale server side implementation as an Architect
- 8-14 years of experience
- Positive knowledge on backend architectures like J2EE, LAMP and databases like MySQL, Oracle etc
- J2EE Enterprise Architecture certification is a big plus
- Experience architecting rapidly scaling multi-tier systems with expanding capacity without losing reliability
- Strong application design and development skills - object-oriented analysis and design techniques
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create and advise on technical solutions for various projects
- Ability to effectively adapt and evolve to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
- Project technical leadership capabilities, design and development oversight
