Job Description:
- Operation and Monitoring:
- Manage and supervise the daily operation of coal-fired boilers and associated equipment, including fuel handling systems, combustion controls, and emission control systems.
- Monitor boiler performance parameters (pressure, temperature, flow rates, etc.) and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Plan, schedule, and supervise routine and emergency maintenance activities on boilers and auxiliary equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system malfunctions and implement effective repair solutions.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and ensure preventative maintenance is performed according to schedule.
- Manage and coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance or repairs.
- Performance Optimization:
- Implement strategies to improve boiler efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
- Monitor and analyze flue gas emissions to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Identify and implement upgrades or modifications to enhance boiler performance and reliability.
- Conduct performance testing and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to all safety regulations and company policies related to boiler operation and maintenance.
- Participate in safety audits and incident investigations.
