Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support new product development (NPD) initiatives involving rubber, silicone, and polymer-based medical devices.

Conduct formulation development, material selection, and validation studies for components used in medical applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Marketing to align R&D; efforts with business goals.

-
Perform experimental design, prototype development, testing, and data analysis to support product development.

-
Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, FDA, and other regulatory guidelines applicable to medical devices.

-
Stay updated with material innovations and emerging technologies relevant to the medical and healthcare industry.

Troubleshoot and improve existing products and processes to enhance performance, safety, and manufacturability.

Maintain detailed documentation including technical reports, test protocols, and R&D; project records.

Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for sourcing current materials and evaluating their performance.

Required Qualifications:

Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Polymer Science, Rubber Technology or related field.

-
Experience: 4–7 years of hands-on R&D; experience in the medical device industry with a strong focus on rubber, silicone, and polymer materials.

-
Sound knowledge of GMP, ISO 13485, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Experience in material characterization techniques (FTIR, TGA, DSC, Rheology, etc.).

Familiarity with sterilization methods, biocompatibility testing, and product validation.
