JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Appian Engineer to join a cross-functional delivery team. In this role, you will design, build and maintain Appian-based workflow and process automation solutions for clients in the Financial Services sector, with a primary focus on superannuation and managed services clients.

You will work within cross-functional delivery squads alongside consultants, architects, QA engineers and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality Appian solutions that meet client requirements, platform standards and quality expectations.

This is a hands-on development role for someone who takes pride in their craft, is comfortable working in a managed services and project delivery workplace, and is ready to embed AI-first thinking into how they work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop and deliver Appian solutions including process models, SAIL interfaces, records, reports, sites, decisions and expressions, following platform standards and best practices for performance, scalability, security and maintainability.




- Build and maintain integrations between Appian and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, connected systems, web services and database integrations alongside data models, CDTs and smart services to support workflow and business process automation.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging and performance tuning, produce technical documentation, support UAT, production deployments, and release coordination.
- Work closely with Application Consultants and business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical designs, including correspondence and document generation solutions and integration with SmartCOMM and other correspondence tooling where applicable.
