Role Overview

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of the Factory Thread platform. This role goes beyond traditional QA—requiring robust engineering skills to build robust test frameworks, automate complex workflows, and embed quality across the development lifecycle.

You will work closely with engineers, product managers,



and architects to design and implement testing strategies for a distributed, data-intensive platform.

Key Responsibilities

Test Engineering & Automation
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
- Build automated test suites for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
- Implement data validation and pipeline testing for ETL/ELT workflows

Quality Strategy
- Define and drive quality standards, test strategies, and best practices across the engineering team
- Ensure test coverage across microservices, APIs, and distributed systems
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and fast feedback loops

Platform & System Testing
- Validate end-to-end workflows across heterogeneous systems (ERP, MES, IoT, etc.)
- Test deployments across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environme
