Responsibilities and Tasks
You will regularly work with Micron’s Business Units to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements. In this role you will be expected to suggest, promote, and leverage published standards to minimize setting complexity and ensure regulatory as well as license compliance.
- Provide support for technologies maintained within the Unix/Linux compute platforms, including OpenShift
- Partner globally with Micron IT Operations, Engineering, Security, and Architecture teams across I&O; and business units
- Ensure adherence to SOX, security, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Drive innovation, automation, and standardization of compute and container platforms
- Use scripting languages and tools to automate tasks, system builds,



and change management (Ansible, shell, Python, etc.)
- Perform proactive monitoring, health checks, and capacity planning for Linux and OpenShift environments
- Contribute as necessary to IT project execution
- Continually work to improve Linux compute, OpenShift environment.
- Propose and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of systems
- Collaborate with IT Operations Manager to continually improve operations through routine monitoring of system performance metrics, review of system log files, trend analysis, configuration, incident, and problem management processes
- Support Redhat Satellite, Ansible Automation Platform, LDAP, OpenShift & Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, and GCP) based Linux Operating Systems.
- Act as a technical mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers
