Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day melting and furnace operations.
- Monitor melting temperature, chemical composition, and metal quality.
- Ensure proper charging of raw materials, scrap, alloys, and additives.
- Coordinate with production and quality departments to achieve production targets.
- Maintain records of heat numbers, production data, and chemical test reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Reduce melting losses and improve furnace efficiency.
- Handle manpower planning and shift management.
- Monitor refractory condition and furnace maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices in the melting area.
- Support troubleshooting during process deviations or equipment breakdowns.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of melting processes and furnace operations.




- Understanding of metallurgy and chemical composition control.
- Familiarity with spectrometer testing and quality standards.
- Valuable leadership and team handling skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and under production pressure.
- Basic computer knowledge for reporting and documentation.

Qualification & Experience
- B.Sc. Chemistry / Diploma or Degree in Metallurgy or related field.
- 5 – 7 years of experience in melting operations in manufacturing/foundry industry.
- Industry preference: Foundry / Manufacturing
