Guides the team in the use of Agile/Scrum practices to ensure value and customer satisfaction

Leads the team on self-organizing to fulfill the Agile/Scrum framework

Ensures Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls

Assesses the Scrum Maturity of the team/organization and coaches the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team/organization

Facilitates discussion to identify alternatives or different approaches, enable decision-making,

Embraces new tools and techniques to manage oneself and a team

Enables an workplace of trust where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of problem solving

Supports and educates the Agile team’s Platform Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the platform backlog

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
The role requires a strong analytical acumen. The role additionally requires consultative questioning, influence management and critical thinking skills to understand a current problem or incident and recommend viable solutions that are both effective and supporting the value to the business.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) required/ (CSP, PSM II) a plus
·
Experience executing the Scrum Master role for a minimum of one year in a software development team, diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
·
Excellent facilitation, situational awareness, and conflict resolution skills
