Senior Coastal Engineer/ Breakwater designer – Job Description
Position Summary
A Senior Coastal Engineer leads the planning,



design, and delivery of complex coastal and marine infrastructure projects. This role combines advanced technical expertise in coastal processes with project leadership, client engagement, and mentorship responsibilities. The Senior Coastal Engineer ensures sustainable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions to coastal challenges such as erosion, flooding, sea-level rise, and storm impacts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership
- Lead the design and analysis of coastal protection and marine projects (e.g., seawalls, breakwaters, revetments, shore protection works, beaches, groynes, intake-outfall projects).
- Conduct hydrodynamic and sediment transport modeling using industry software (e.g., MIKE, Delft3D, SWAN).
- Perform coastal risk assessments, flood modeling, and climate change adaptation studies.
- Supervise and assist in physical model studies and make modifications to the breakwater/
