Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- 3D Modeling:
Develop detailed 3D models of plumbing and fire protection systems using software like Autodesk Revit in accordance with project standards and Level of Development (LOD) requirements (typically LOD 300–500).
- Clash Detection & Resolution: Use tools like Navisworks Manage to identify and resolve "clashes" where PHE elements intersect with other disciplines like HVAC, structural beams, or electrical trays.
- Documentation: Generate 2D construction drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation directly from the 3D BIM models.
- Coordination: Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure the PHE design is seamlessly integrated into the federated project model.
- Quantity Take-offs: Extract accurate material schedules and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) from the model to assist with cost estimation.
- Content Creation: Develop and maintain project-specific "family" libraries for PHE components (
