Role Overview
The primary responsibility of this role is to design and develop creative products while driving associated research and development (R&D;) initiatives. In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that products, applications, and machines are designed and delivered in accordance with the highest quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Design and development of mechanical sub-assemblies & parts, considering manufacturing processes in metals (sheet metal, machining, casting, etc.) along with plastics (FRP, vacuum forming, etc.)

Standard bought-out part selection such as bearings, gearboxes, motors, hardware, etc.

2D drawings, 3D parts & assembly in SolidWorks (analysis experience is a plus)

Ensuring compliance with relevant standards (CE, ISO, ASME)

Participate in cross-functional engineering tasks and solving technical and quality issues

Responsible for coordinating with the Supply Chain

Vendor interaction wherever required for part development or purchasing bought-out items during the development phase

Guide the team for prototype development & anchor the testing of the mechanisms

Mentor & support the team for design & development activities

Preferred Qualifications
- Base qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 11-14 years of experience in Mechanical Design, Product Design and development, preferably in the Industrial, Automobile, Robotics, Appliances or Material Handling industry.

Skills Required

Expertise in material selection as per the application and understanding of manufacturing process limitations

Expertise & knowledge of electromechanical design, prototype development & testing, project management, and handling multi-functional activities related to product design
