We are seeking an experienced ACA Specialist to manage and oversee all aspects of Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance, reporting, and audits. The role will ensure our organization stays fully compliant with ACA requirements, including employee eligibility tracking, 1094/1095 reporting, and coordination with internal HR/Payroll teams and external vendors. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of federal and state healthcare mandates, excellent analytical skills, and prior experience managing ACA compliance within a corporate or consulting setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and monitor ACA compliance programs, ensuring adherence to federal and state healthcare regulations.

Oversee the preparation, review, and timely filing of ACA forms (1094-C and 1095-C) with the IRS and applicable state agencies.

Track employee eligibility, hours of service, and benefits affordability calculations.

Partner with HR, Benefits, and Payroll teams to ensure accurate employee data and reporting.

Serve as the primary point of contact for ACA-related audits, notices, and inquiries.





Stay updated on changes in ACA regulations, IRS updates, and state-specific mandates.

Review vendor reports, validate data, and ensure compliance with ACA measurement and stability periods.

Conduct regular compliance audits to minimize risks and identify process improvements.

Train HR/Payroll staff and provide guidance on ACA-related requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field (preferred).

5+ years of experience in ACA compliance, benefits administration, or HR compliance.

Solid knowledge of ACA regulations, employer shared responsibility provisions, and IRS reporting requirements.

Experience with HRIS/Payroll systems and ACA reporting tools.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
