As a Senior Frontend Developer (React.js / Next.js), you will:
- Architect and build robust, scalable web applications using React.js and Next.js that make our platform easy and enjoyable to use.
- Own significant features end to end — from technical design through rollout — and set the standards others build against.
- Drive frontend performance: server-side rendering, static generation, bundle size, Core Web Vitals, and caching strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement recent features that enhance user engagement.
- Raise the quality bar through code reviews, refactoring, testing practices, and pragmatic technical debt reduction.
- Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, and help grow the team’s overall frontend capability.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and best practices in web development to keep our applications cutting-edge.
Requirements
Primary Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience building production web applications with JavaScript.
- 5+ years of professional experience with React.js.
- Hands-on production experience with Next.js, including server-side rendering, static generation, and routing.
- Deep understanding of React concepts: functional components, hooks, state management, context, memoization, rendering behavior, and lifecycle.
- Strong command of ES6+, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and a state management library (Redux or similar).
- Proven experience designing and integrating REST-based third-party APIs.
- Demonstrated ownership of frontend performance optimization, debugging, and browser testing.
- Experience with modern build tooling (Webpack, Babel, or equivalent) and frontend deployment pipelines.
- Track record of leading code reviews, refactoring legacy code, and improving engineering standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze, clarify, and scope requirements independently.
- High attention to detail and strong visualization of UI/UX.
