NStrong understanding of Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology
NKnowledge of CPT, ICD-9-CM, HCPCS & AMA Guidelines
NClaims Management and/or Customer Service experience is an added advantage
NGood verbal and written communication skills
NProficiency in Microsoft Office
NAbility to work independently with robust attention to detail

NJob Responsibilities
nReview patient medical records and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.
NApply CPT, ICD-9-CM, HCPCS, and other coding guidelines.
NAssociate diagnosis codeswith appropriate CPT codes for accurate reimbursement.
NVerify chart count and maintain daily/monthly MIS reports.
NPerform quality checks and monitor coding accuracy.
NTrack coding errors and maintain quality metrics.
NHandle denial follow-up and appeals, when required.
NConduct specialty training for experienced coders.
NEnsure compliance with client requirements and Information Security policies.
