We're looking for a junior accountant to manage day-to-day accounting for a scaling startup — someone who can work independently on routine operations while growing alongside the business and its finance function.
What you'll do
Maintain books of accounts in Tally, following double-entry principles
Handle daily transaction entries, journal postings, and ledger maintenance
Manage banking operations — reconciliations, payments, and day-to-day coordination with banks
Prepare and maintain GST records, returns, and related compliance documentation
Work closely with our CA on statutory filings, audits, and periodic reviews
Take ownership of legacy account cleanup and reconciliation as we formalize older records
Track and reconcile stock/trading inventories as part of regular accounting cycles
Independently manage daily accounting operations while reporting into a senior finance team
Who we're looking for
Hands-on experience with Tally and double-entry bookkeeping
Working knowledge of GST — filing, reconciliation, and compliance basics
Comfortable managing banking transactions and reconciliations independently
Prior experience in a similar accounting role, ideally with some exposure to inventory or stock-related accounting
Able to work independently on daily tasks while collaborating with a senior team and external CA
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning both legacy cleanup and new process-building as the company scales
