We are seeking a Database Engineer (DBA) with robust expertise in PostgreSQL and MySQL to manage and maintain our production databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database reliability, performance, integrity, and availability while supporting engineering teams with schema design, SQL optimization, and database best practices.
This is a hands-on role requiring solid experience in database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and database development.
Key Responsibilities:-
Database Administration
Administer and maintain PostgreSQL and MySQL databases in production environments.
Monitor database availability, health, and performance.
Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, backups, and recovery operations.
Manage database users, roles, permissions, and security.
Database Design & Development
Review and recommend database schema designs.
Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, views, and other database objects.
Support database migrations and schema version management.
Ensure adherence to database design standards and best practices.
Performance & Optimization
Monitor and optimize database performance.
Analyze and tune SQL queries and execution plans.
Design and maintain indexes to improve query efficiency.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
