Hindustan Abrasives is a leading manufacturer of vitrified and resinoid grinding wheels, serving customers across automotive, bearing, engineering, steel, foundry and other industrial sectors. We are looking for a technically capable and responsible Plant Maintenance & Electrician to join our manufacturing team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Handle electrical faults, troubleshooting and repairs across the plant.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical panels, control panels, MCCs, motors, starters, contactors and wiring.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and production equipment.
- Attend electrical and mechanical maintenance issues to minimise machine downtime.
- Monitor and maintain kilns, mixing machines, pressing machines, grinding/finishing equipment and other manufacturing machinery.
- Perform regular inspection and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and machinery.
- Identify recurring faults and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain maintenance records and coordinate with production for planned maintenance.
- Ensure electrical work is carried out safely and in accordance with plant safety procedures.
- Support installation, commissioning and modification of current machinery and electrical equipment.
Qualification & Experience
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance / plant maintenance.
- Strong practical knowledge of electrical panels, motors, control circuits and industrial wiring.
- Experience in manufacturing/industrial plants will be an advantage.
- Ability to independently diagnose electrical and machinery-related faults.
- Good understanding of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
