As a Marine Superintendent (Offshore) at BSM, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant marine operation of assigned offshore vessels and assets. This role is pivotal in supporting operational excellence, maintaining high standards of marine safety, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, flag State, class, client and company requirements. You will work closely with vessel crews, offshore teams, clients, authorities and shore-based departments to provide effective marine support and drive continuous improvement across assigned operations.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and oversee the marine performance and operational readiness of assigned offshore vessels and assets.
Provide marine and operational support to vessel teams, including guidance on navigation, seamanship, cargo operations, offshore activities and emergency response.
Ensure compliance with applicable maritime legislation, flag State and port State requirements, classification rules, client standards and company policies.




Support the implementation and maintenance of the Safety Management System, Company Management System and relevant offshore operating procedures.
Plan, coordinate and follow up on vessel inspections, audits, marine assurance activities, incident investigations and corrective actions.
Monitor vessel certification, statutory documentation, operational limitations and marine equipment readiness.
Support the planning and execution of offshore operations, including vessel mobilisation, demobilisation, anchor handling, towing, supply, construction support and other specialist activities, as applicable.
Maintain close communication with Masters, vessel crews, offshore management, clients, marine warranty surveyors, port authorities and other stakeholders.
Review operational risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work arrangements and emergency preparedness plans.
