Role: Asst Manager – EHS

Job Summary

This position is responsible for leading and driving KMT’s EHS strategy, culture and compliance for the Bangalore KIL manufacturing facility. The Assistant Manager will lead and drive EHS performance, compliance, develop and implement systems and standards across the KIL business.

Key Job Responsibilities





Lead the global Environmental Health and Safety strategy for KIL and develop and execute implementation plans aligned with KMT strategic objectives.
Implement sustainability of EHS management systems, regulatory programs, and processes to support EHS compliance and management systems.
Lead Kennametal’s Fatality and Reliable injury (FSI) prevention strategy by managing and implementing processes to recognize, identify and control critical hazards and risks (lock, tag verify, Powered industrial vehicles, cranes, machine guarding, electrical safety, etc.).
Ability to collaborate across operations and leadership.
Lead and manage environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives with an emphasis on critical environmental operating permits.
Implementation of KMT global EHS standards to assure compliance with internal standards and consistency across locations.
Ability to influence operations and leadership
