WSP India is currently seeking a Senior BIM Technician to join our Bridges team located at our Bengaluru office. This role is to work as part of WSP GCC Sweden as part of BIM team and taking a role in the production of detailed structural drawings in Tekla Structures – Concrete, AutoCAD and/ or Microstation if applicable.
Lead the preparation of Engineering Drawings using WSP CAD/ BIM Standards and Templates.
Agree priorities & deadlines with Sweden Team, organize work to ensure timely delivery.
Align work with Quality requirements and maintain Document Control for all work.
Proactively raising queries, identifying necessary inputs from others & following up.
Develop templates and libraries for CAD / BIM work.
Role will be working under the supervision of Principal Engineer or Principal BIM Modeler.
Responsibilities
Prepare structural detailed and concept design drawings for various bridges and construction types to be built predominantly in Sweden.
Responsible for BIM and CAD standards, implementation, and enforcement
Creation and maintenance of the software template files to assure standards
Automate routines to support standards and productivity
Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all drawings produced
Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards
Maximizing utilization on projects
Create Tekla Structures auto and customized connections / Templates in response to project requirements
Agree priorities and deadlines for drawing production through liaison with the Project Engineer and Sweden team
Key Competencies / Skills:
Cultural awareness, conscientious with an open mind and excellent communication skills are essential requirements for the role.
High degree of self-motivation and ability to motivate others.
Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
Experience of 3D reinforcement skillset is a must in Tekla Structures - Concrete.
