We are looking for a world-class Technical Artist to bridge the gap between high-precision engineering data and high-end visual storytelling.
You will build the technical infrastructure for Digital Twins that are physically accurate for simulation, yet visually indistinguishable from reality for marketing. The role focuses on engineering simulation and high-end marketing collateral, working across automotive visualization, procedural pipelines, real-time rendering, and technical art.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Twin Architecture
• Create high-fidelity, real-time representations of complex automotive assets using USD and NVIDIA Omniverse.
Procedural Data Pipelines
• Build Houdini (HDA) workflows to automate the ingestion of massive CAD datasets into UE5.
• Ensure clean topology and metadata retention throughout the CAD-to-engine pipeline.
Physically-Based Visualization
• Develop expert-level shaders using HLSL/Substrate for automotive paint, glass, and industrial materials.
• Ensure materials satisfy both aesthetic and physical simulation requirements.
Simulation & FX
• Utilize Niagara and Houdini to simulate mechanical movements, fluid dynamics, and stress visualizations for engineering analysis.
Pipeline Automation
• Write Python tools to streamline the CAD-to-Cinema workflow.
• Reduce manual effort involved in lighting and rendering marketing assets.
Performance Engineering
• Profile and optimize scenes to ensure 60FPS+ performance for interactive Digital Twins.
• Leverage Nanite and Lumen for high-quality real-time visualization.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience & Background
• 8+ years of experience in technical art, automotive visualization, digital twins, real-time 3D, or related fields.
• Solid experience working with high-precision engineering data and converting it into production-ready visual assets.
• Experience working across engineering simulation and high-end marketing visualization workflows.
