Who are we looking for:
The Madras Seva Sadan is seeking a motivated and experienced Stores Manager to join the organisation on a full-time basis. The Stores Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the stores, including procurement, material receipt and issue, inventory management, scrap management, and store maintenance across the organisation's various units.
The role requires effective coordination with Unit Heads, Managers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure the timely availability, proper storage, accurate tracking, and effective utilisation of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Vendor Management:
Updating the vendor details.
Bill processing as and when required and placing orders on a monthly basis.
Identify and evaluate vendors based on quality, service, and pricing.
Collect and consolidate material requirements from various units.
Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and process purchase orders.
Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery.
Verify invoices and maintain procurement records.
2. Issue of material:
Issue the required materials to various units based on approved requests.
Provide materials required for special events and important days.
Supply day-to-day requirements to various units.
