About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Netezza Developer whose primary focus is hands-on development — building, optimizing, and maintaining data solutions on IBM Netezza.The role also requires strong working knowledge of Netezza Performance Server as a Service (NPSaaS) and cloud-hosted configurations, to support deployment, scaling, and day-to-day operational needs on IBM Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
Design, write, and tune Netezza SQL/PL-SQL (stored procedures, custom SQLEXT functions, views) supporting the Datastage ETL pipelines.
Own end-to-end development of data pipelines, transformations, and data models to support analytics and reporting needs.
Tune queries and database objects for performance,



including distribution keys, zone maps, and organize-on-clauses.
Support configuration and operational tasks on NPSaaS (Netezza Performance Server as a Service) instances hosted on IBM Cloud.
Collaborate with cloud/infra teams on provisioning, scaling, patching, and environment configuration for NPSaaS deployments.
Support migration of on-prem Netezza workloads to NPSaaS or other cloud-hosted Netezza environments.
Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, job failures, and data quality issues.
Write technical documentation for developed solutions, configurations, and deployment processes.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to development best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DBAs, Data engineers, business analysts) to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
