The Area Sales Manager will excel at creating and closing new business opportunities. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will leverage their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both current and existing customers.
Tasks / Activities:
Sales & Business Development:
Meet and exceed assigned sales targets.
Successfully generate business from new and existing customer accounts.
Identify and qualify sales opportunities using a consultative selling approach.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build rapport and establish long-term relationships with customers.
Manage complex negotiations with clients and key stakeholders
Product Promotion & Customer Engagement:
Develop strong product knowledge and effectively communicate value propositions related to immunology, genomics, and scientific instrumentation products.
Deliver compelling product presentations, demonstrations, and pitches tailored to customer requirements.
Stay updated on industry trends, scientific advancements, and competitor offerings to strengthen customer engagement.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.
Key Competencies:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong product learning ability with aptitude for understanding scientific and technical concepts in immunology, genomics, and instrumentation.
Excellent presentation and product pitching skills with the ability to explain technical products to diverse customer audiences.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Ability to build customer trust and translate technical features into business value.
Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems.
Qualification: Master's degree in Life Sciences or related field.
Experience:
2 - 5 years of quota-carrying sales experience.
