Job Summary: This role will be responsible for general ledger accounting, monthly close and/or entity accounting processes with a focus on quality and continuous improvement. This position typically works under supervision and direction

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This role involves assisting senior accountants with tasks such as:

Maintains the general ledger of Cubic subsidiaries




Prepares monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
Reconciles general ledger accounts
Prepares account analyses for management and internal/external auditors
Compiles and analyzes financial information
Assists other accountants in the department with month-end close responsibilities
May be assigned special projects
Performs other related duties as required

Robust attention to detail and proficiency in accounting software are essential for this role. Additionally, an accountant may collaborate with other teams to ensure accurate financial information and compliance with regulations.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Four-year college degree in accounting plus a minimum of 2-3 years of public accounting experience and/or transactional accounting experience, preferably in a contracting and/or manufacturing environment. CPA certification or MBA preferred. Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reportin
