About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Revenue Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the company's revenue accounting function, ensuring accurate revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 606), and contributing to a timely and accurate month-end close process.
You will partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Sales, Operations, and Customer Success to analyze customer contracts, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and help build scalable revenue processes as the company continues to grow.
What You’ll Do:
Support the month-end close process for revenue accounting activities.
Prepare monthly revenue recognition and deferred revenue analyses.
Record revenue-related journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
Review and analyze customer contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606 (US GAAP).
Research and resolve complex revenue accounting matters while providing practical recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support revenue-related business initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve and automate revenue accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
Support external audits by preparing revenue-related schedules and responding to audit requests.
Assist with ad hoc finance and accounting projects as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA Inter, CPA, CMA/ICWA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
4–6 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in revenue accounting.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 (IFRS 15 knowledge is an added advantage).
Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system.
Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
Prior experience in the software or technology industry.
Knowledge of US multi-state sales tax is preferred.
