About the Role
Oversee delivery of technically challenging solutions. Act as a technical point
of contact, enable complex problem solving, and drive scalable design. Influence
architecture choices and collaborate across teams to ensure stability, security,
and performance. Lead a team of engineers delivering platform of platform
features. Drive technical execution, coach team members, and ensure alignment
with departmental goals. Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and
innovation while managing delivery risks and supporting continuous
improvement.





Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the development and operations of a high stakes
qualifications platform.

* Lead delivery of high-complexity features and solutions, ensuring technical
excellence and reliability.

* Manage and develop a team of engineers, scrum masters and QA providing
coaching, feedback, and support for growth.

* Engage with suppliers to secure resources to scale platform delivery teams.

* Plan, prioritise, and track feature delivery, ensuring programme increments
and sprint commitments and release quality.

* Advise on architecture and design for major platform enhancements.

* Resolve blockers, manage escalations, and recommend process improvements for
operational excellence.

* Champion consistent coding, testing, and documentation practices across the
team. Pilot current AI enabled frameworks, tools, and advanced coding practices.
