Technical Expert – Solar PV Inverter

As a Technical Expert – Solar PV Inverter, you will be the go-to authority for inverter reliability across our solar fleet. Your deep knowledge of power electronics and hands-on expertise will directly impact plant performance, energy generation, and our commitment to clean energy at scale.

What You'll Do

Lead hands-on diagnostics and component-level repair of string and central inverters, including IGBT modules, DC bus capacitors, MPPT controllers, cooling systems, and control boards.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis for recurring inverter failures and document corrective actions to improve long-term reliability.
Collaborate with OEMs on warranty claims, technical clarifications, design feedback, and change management evaluations.
Define and manage spare parts strategies based on failure trends, criticality,



and vendor reliability assessments.
Provide first-line technical support to site teams during breakdowns, commissioning, upgrades, and major maintenance campaigns.
Analyze SCADA data, inverter logs, and fault codes to detect early failures and optimize inverter performance.
Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures for inverter diagnostics, repair, and compliance reporting.

What You Bring

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
Minimum 10 to 15 years of hands-on experience with solar PV inverter systems, covering both string and central technologies.
Proven expertise in component-level troubleshooting, including IGBTs, gate drivers, firing angle control, and firmware diagnostics.
Solid track record in conducting RCAs and engaging directly with inverter OEMs and factory engineering teams.
