Role Description The VMC Operator is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru North. The individual will be responsible for operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) to produce precision metal components according to engineering drawings and process sheets. Day-to-day tasks include machine setup, loading and unloading workpieces, selecting and installing tools,



and adjusting machining parameters to achieve required tolerances and surface finish. The role involves monitoring machine operations, conducting basic inspections with measuring instruments, and reporting any deviations or equipment issues. The VMC Operator will collaborate closely with supervisors and quality teams, maintain safety and housekeeping standards, and support continuous improvement in productivity and quality.
Qualifications
CNC/VMC operation skills, including machine setup, tool selection, and basic program handling.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and technical specifications.
Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
Basic knowledge of machining processes, cutting parameters, and different grades/types of tooling.
Understanding of quality standards, dimensional inspection, and documentation practices in a pre
