About the Role
CornerstoneX is looking for a Mobile Engineer - iOS (Swift/SwiftUI), Android to join our engineering team and help maintain, improve, and extend a consumer-focused mobile application in the health technology segment.
The application is already built. This role is focused on keeping the application healthy and moving it forward - maintaining existing functionality, building new features, improving reliability, and working within an established codebase rather than designing an application from scratch.
What You'll Do
Maintain and Improve the iOS Application
Fix bugs and triage crashes.
Respond to issues identified through testing and support.
Keep dependencies and the Xcode project current.
Prepare and release TestFlight and App Store builds.
Build Features from Designs and Specifications
Implement features based on Figma designs and API contracts.
Build features using SwiftUI.
Integrate features with backend APIs.
Write tests for current functionality.
Work with Existing Systems
Extend and maintain existing HealthKit sync, Live Activities, widgets, offline sync, and authentication flows.
Understand and work within existing systems rather than replacing them.
Learn the existing architecture and systems with support from the team.
Maintain Test Quality
Work with approximately 30 test suites covering the application's core logic.
Add tests for new functionality.
Investigate and fix broken tests rather than skipping them.
Contribute to Android Development
Help scope and set up the Android project as development begins.
Build screens and features alongside the iOS application.
Opportunity to develop skills in Kotlin and Compose if you do not already have Android experience.
What We're Looking ForRequired
3-4 years of mobile development experience.
Comfortable working with async/await and REST APIs, including JSON pars
